We are relatively new clients, but have had the best experience! After hunting for a vet in the York area, our search stops here! Everyone is so loving, caring and welcoming! All needs are addressed, and they go the extra mile. I had 3 small children along for today’s well visit, and they were each offered the chance to be involved- listening to their puppy’s heartbeat, giving treats while shots were administered etc. OUTSTANDING!
I have never experienced a more caring, thorough and devoted staff. Dr. Schmidt was the most compassionate veterinarian I have ever come across. As a life long pet owner and admitted crazy cat lady, there will never be another vet allowed to treat my babies. This place is full of people that genuinely care. From the moment I walked in the door with an emergency, to the moment I checked out two days later, I felt very confident that my kitty was in good hands. A huge thank you from both Pickle and myself for taking such good care of him.
We took our Great Dane puppy to Patton in a dire situation. He was unable to walk or stand on his own. The veterinarians and staff at the facility were able to see him right away for an emergency visit. The staff there was very caring and compassionate. They quickly gave Moose pain medication to ensure his comfort while they conducted an exam to determine a diagnosis.

I was so pleased with Dr. D. Schmidt and the entire Patton experience. We are new to Red Lion, and Annie (9-year-old cocker spaniel) had her first check-up. Dr. Schmidt obviously cares about animals. He cared about my Annie. He took his time in explaining prescriptions and procedures that were different than what we were given in Virginia. To top it off, since we were new, we were not charged for the exam. Without reservation, I plan to place my total confidence in Dr. Schmidt for the two most precious things in my life, Annie and Libby.
The veterinarian and staff were able to get an x-ray within minutes and determined that he had HOD. The veterinarian provided a thorough explanation of the medical treatment required and recommended for our puppy to stay at their facility for a few days to ensure proper care. We were able to visit Moose while he was in their facility and he appeared to be in excellent care. The facility was clean and orderly. I received a phone call from the staff multiple times a day updating me on moose's condition. three days later we were able to pick moose up. Moose was in great spirits and was able to walk on his own again. The veterinarian sent us home with medication to ensure Moose's thorough recovery and made numerous phone calls to check on his status. In all it was a great experience. We are grateful to have a happy and energetic puppy back thanks to Patton.
